Why $22,000?
We want to raise $22,000 in honor of the 22,000 women who will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer this year.

Why September?
September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Teal Strides Across America is a great way for you to spread awareness of ovarian cancer in your community, while raising money for the Alliance.

Where will my money go?
Donations support the work of the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance as we advance the interests of women with ovarian cancer through advocacy, education and awareness.

How do I get started?
Registration is free and only takes a minute. You can personalize your fundraising page by adding pictures and sharing why ovarian cancer matters to you. Next, spread the word about Teal Strides Across America so your friends and family will help you meet your fundraising goal. We’ve set a goal of $150 for each walker–but you can set your goal as high as you’d like. Every walker who raises at least $150 will receive a special prize!

What are Teal Teams? Which Teal Team can I join?
Teal Teams are groups of walkers who have individual goals, but join together with a larger Teal Team goal. Each week, the Teal Team that has recruited the most walkers and the Teal Team that has raised the most money will be recognized in our Teal Strides email update. The top Teal Team and top individual walker at the end of September will each win a prize. You can start your own Teal Team and recruit friends, family members and co-workers to join as walkers, or you can join someone else’s Teal Team.

I want to donate, but would rather not register.
If you don’t want to register as a walker or donate to a particular Teal Team, you can still help us reach our goal! Just click the button on the Teal Strides Across America homepage that says “Donate Here.”

How can I recruit my friends?
We’ve done the hard part for you! Click here for some tools you can use to spread the word about ovarian cancer and Teal Strides Across America.

Can my friends send cash or checks?
Sure! Cash and checks payable to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance can be sent to:

After we receive your donations, we will update your thermometer to reflect the cash and/or checks. Please note that we can only update the thermometers of individual walkers–not the thermometers of Teal Teams.
