As part of the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance’s Annual Conference, attendees have the option to participate in Lobby Day by visiting Congressional offices to gather support in the fight against ovarian cancer. In 2009, more than 100 advocates had breakfast with three Members of Congress: Mr. Dan Burton (R-IN), Mr. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Mrs. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT). Afterward, they walked the halls of Congress to meet one-on-one with elected officials to share their personal stories and ask for support on a number of federal efforts that are essential to conquering ovarian cancer.
