The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance’s goal is for you to have a general understanding of clinical trials. There are a number of wonderful resources that we encourage you to explore to learn more.
Some links have been provided throughout this section. Here is a list of some other resources we find most useful.
The National Cancer Institute has a comprehensive section on their Web site called “Learning About Clinical Trials.” There are a number of useful resources on this Web site — even too many to list here. Many of the fact sheets and brochures can be downloaded in PDF format. The section on patient care costs is particularly helpful.
The Coalition of National Cancer Cooperative Groups has a Web site, Clinical Trials: What You Need to Know that provides valuable information on cancer clinical trials, including results of research they conducted with cancer patients who have participated in clinical trials and real-life stories from a number of individuals with different cancers who have participated in trials.
