New data has been released showing that the number of women who get ovarian cancer has decreased as well as the number of women who die from the disease.
Since 2000 the incidence of ovarian cancer has decreased 1.3% and mortality decreased 1.5%. Since 2005 those figures are 1.4% and 2.5% respectively.
The authors did not indicate the cause of these declines.
