Alison Silberman Joins Alliance as Advocacy Outreach Coordinator
Alison Silberman recently joined the staff of the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance as the Advocacy Outreach Coordinator. In the coming months, Alison will establish a framework for the Partner Members program that will further enhance the relationship between the Alliance and our Partner Members, and help to share our message.
After earning her Bachelor’s in Government from Colby College and Master’s in Urban Planning from Columbia University, Alison spent the past five years serving the public in Mayor Bloomberg’s Office in New York City. She has been involved with cancer advocacy and awareness as a volunteer with Team LIVESTRONG. Alison has completed six marathons and served as the NYC mentor helping runners meet their marathon and fundraising goals. She is also a member of LIVESTRONG’s Young Leaders Cancer Council whose goal it is to help the Foundation broaden its reach, impact and success in the fight against cancer.
Alison is very excited to join this exceptional team of dedicated staff and Partner Members and help expand the mission of the Alliance.
