I want to honor my mother, who has been married almost 50 years to my father, was a stay at home mom and raised three of us kids. My mom has battled rheumatoid arthritis for years but even on her bad days she would keep a smile on her face and keep going on. In 2010 we discovered she had OC stage 3; she had surgery, chemo and she made it to remission. Just shy of her one-year anniversary date for remission we found her OC is back and she is currently battling again. My mom has always been a very giving person and during these past two years she hasn’t changed that a bit. She continues to try to smile and think of others before herself even on those difficult days. I love my mom with all my heart and hope I can be even at least half the woman she is.
