On June 26, 2006 I lost my grandmother to ovarian cancer. I was very close to her. She always had a smile on her face and whenever our family was having a great time, she was there. In just three short weeks, ovarian cancer had taken her. She was diagnosed at the beginning of June 2006, 26 days later she had passed away.
September of 2010, I created an ovarian cancer research foundation in her memory. Sandy S. Eddinger Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. We have had several events in the last year in which we have raised money for ovarian cancer research. We are continuing the fight each and every day to one day find a cure for this silent killer.
My grandmother is my inspiration, my motivation, my guiding light.
