Interventions to prevent postoperative complications in women with ovarian cancer.
Women suspected of having ovarian cancer may have complications related to their surgeries. The most common complications, according to a recent studetn published in teh Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing, were wound infection, fever, nausea and vomiting. The full article reviews complications as well as their treatment and prevention. The article also suggests some specific discharge instructions that oncology nurses can give patients after surgery.
