Personalizing CA-125 Levels for Ovarian Cancer Screening

Two new papers published in Cancer Prevention Research suggests that personalizing CA-125 levels related to ovarian cancer are helpful. The article suggests that the provide a two percent false positive rate are

  • premenopausal women should have a cut-off point of 50 U/mL
  • postmenopausal women should have a cut-off point of 35 U/mL
  • premenopausal women who are using oral contraceptives should have a cut-off point of 40 U/mL
