In Dec. 2010 Morgan was diagnosed with stage 3 Ovarian Cancer at the young age of 17. She was scheduled to have 6 rounds of chemo. She had several complications during her 3 month battle. She developed blood clots in her leg and lung which required surgery. She had fluid that kept building up in the abdomen that they had to keep draining. There was fluid around the lung that had to be drained and during that process her lung was nicked and deflated. She went through another surgery to have a chest tube put in. After her 3rd round of chemo we were told it was not working and they were going to try another type of chemo. Unfortunately they were not able to get Morgan strong enough to try it before the cancer spread and took her from us. During all of this Morgan stayed strong and positive, never giving up. She was a fighter and never complained. She was an inspiration to a lot of people. Her boyfriend of 1 year proposed to her on March 8, 2011 and she accepted. They were planning a great future together. Little did we know that 5 days later on march 13, 2011 she would pass away. It has been a little over 2 months since she left us and not a day goes by that we don’t think of her and miss her so much.
