Advocacy at Work-Footage from Capitol Hill

Advocacy Day 2010 (Life Force by N.E.D.) from Spark Media on Vimeo.

On July 13th, more than 100 advocates marched the halls of Capitol Hill to meet with their elected officials and/or their staff in Washington, D.C. Ovarian cancer survivors, their family and friends shared their story and asked for support on a number of federal issues essential to fighting ovarian cancer. As you will see in this powerful video, this effort was all part of Advocacy Day at the 2010 Ovarian Cancer National Alliance Power is Teal Conference.

The fight is not over. There is still much work to be done and we need your help.

Here are three easy ways you can join these advocates in the fight against ovarian cancer:

Please note: This year’s Advocacy Day was documented by Spark Media, a production company based in Washington DC. Footage from OCNA’s Advocacy Day will be used in their upcoming documentary called Dancing with N.E.D. — the story of six GYN oncologists from across the country who formed an unlikely but one of the most talked about rock bands of the year called No Evidence of Disease (N.E.D.).
