My Summer Internship with OCNA

Hi Everyone,

As I approach my final weeks as an Ovarian Cancer National Alliance Events Intern I thought I would share with the organization my experience.

When I started here at the beginning of June everyone was in full swing conference mode. My main task this summer was to aid Liz White, Director of Events, with anything and everything Conference related. Many of these duties included designing several different brochures and programs for the conference, sending out invitations, as well as finishing up and finalizing the silent auction which was started by previous OCNA intern Jamie Griffin. Watching everything come together and seeing what all goes into the conference to make it the wonderful experience that it is was quite the learning experience.

The main highlight of the summer for me would have to be attending the actual conference itself. Seeing all of the women whose lives have been touched by ovarian cancer and hearing all of their stories was truly inspiring. I want to thank you all for giving me this amazing opportunity to learn and grow as an individual. It truthfully was an experience I will never forget.
