WHAT: Virtual Advocacy Day for the Ovarian Cancer Community
WHEN: NOW! Click here to get started.
WHY: Participating in the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance’s Virtual Advocacy Day is as easy as sending an email or picking up the phone and can make such a difference for the ovarian cancer community.
Tuesday, July 13th is the day to ask your elected officials to support on a number of federal efforts that are essential to fighting ovarian cancer. More than 110 members of the ovarian cancer community will walk the halls of Congress on Tuesday as part of Advocacy Day at the Power is Teal Conference. You, too, can join your peers and take part in the movement to fight ovarian cancer by spending a few minutes emailing and calling your Representative and Senators.
On the evening of Monday, July 12th, in preparation for Virtual Advocacy Day, you will receive an email directing you to our web site with instructions on how to make contact via email and phone with your elected officials. Please wait until Tuesday, July 13 to send an email and call your elected officials. It is important that you call AND email in order for us all to be successful and garner the attention we need to fight ovarian cancer.
Our legislators are exceptionally busy with a vast assortment of issues facing our nation. We must be persistent in order for them to hear our needs for increased funding for research and ovarian cancer awareness programs. July 13th is the day to do just that.
