My mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer right after the New Year.  It was devastating for my family as we lost my father to colon cancer approximately 8 years ago. My mother underwent optimal debulking surgery at Yale School of Medicine that was very successful and currently undergoing her 6 rounds of Carboplatin and Taxol. She’s had three treatments so far and should complete chemotherapy in June or early July.

The best word I can use to describe my mother is “RESILIENT”.  She is blessed with a strong spirit that carries her through everything!! My mom is INCREDIBLE, she has not complained once about the chemotherapy treatment, weight loss or no appetite that she continually faces! Results show when her tumor marker dropped from 170 to 30 and God willing it will continue to drop down! God Bless!!
