Great news, everybody! The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance was listed as one of the top-rated cancer non-profits in the United States on GreatNonprofits.org!
GreatNonprofits is a resource for individuals who wish to find non-profit organizations to get involved with based on other people’s experiences. Think restaurant reviews, such as OpenTable.com, but for a good cause. This is a great way for people who have been touched by a non-profit to share their stories and motivate others to get involved with outstanding organizations.
The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance was reviewed by survivors and volunteers who have been touched by our efforts. With all of their much appreciated support, we have been recognized as a top-rated cancer non-profit in the United States.
Here is what one of our volunteers had to say about us:
“The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance is a well-organized, effective, and much-needed organization, as evidenced by studies that show that the majority of women and half of all doctors are unaware of the symptoms of ovarian cancer. In addition, ovarian cancer has traditionally been a stepchild when it comes to funding for cancer research. OCNA, founded little more than a decade ago, has made great strides toward educating the public and medical professionals about ovarian cancer; informing women with ovarian cancer about all aspects of their disease, including resources; and uniting these women and giving them a voice at the state and national levels.”

Keep up the excellent work, everybody. The more lives we touch, the more women we can reach!
