I am very proud to say I have survived four cancer battles beginning at age 17 with a childhood form of a kidney cancer known as a Wilm’s tumor, then two breast cancers in my 30′s as well as recently being diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

I must be here for a reason to be so blessed to make it through these cancer fights. Survivors are my heroes; I hope that one day a cure is found so we don’t have to even hear the “C” word anymore or it becomes a rare illness!!! I am so thankful to be alive and in remission now.

I do have the gene mutation known as BRCA1.

AWARENESS for ovarian cancer needs to be brought to the forefront so it is caught in early stages not in more advanced as is often the case. I was stage IIC.
