Diane Rader O'Connor

My name is Diane Rader O’Connor, I live in Vancouver, WA, and I was diagnosed with stage IIIC ovarian cancer in January 2002.  At the time I knew almost nothing about ovarian cancer.  It was not until I attended my first Ovarian Cancer National Alliance conference in September 2002 that I realized the importance of awareness, education, and advocacy.  Since that time a colleague (and fellow survivor) and I have started a Survivors Teaching Students program at the Oregon Health and Science University and a partner member group of OCNA called the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Oregon and SW Washington.  I currently serve on the board of directors for the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. I am most grateful to be in remission and to be doing work I love!
